Biosera Rat Serum is derived from clotted whole blood collected from Sprague-Dawley rats. The blood is centrifuged, and the serum is collected and filtered at 0.2µm. All collected animals are sexually mature rats aged 8-12 weeks.
Each batch is meticulously controlled, from serum collection through all stages of treatment and production to final packaging at our facility. All batches are tested for endotoxin and mycoplasma levels, specific virus tests, hemoglobin, and total protein levels.
