Developed initially to study the hormonal requirements of cells in culture, DMEM-Ham’s F12 is used as a basal medium for growing many different mammalian cells (MDCK, fibroblasts, endothelial cells). DMEM-Ham’s F12 is a 1:1 mixture of DMEM and Ham’s F12 medium.
Its formulation contains L-Glutamine and Hepes (25 mM).
