Eagle’s medium (BME), developed by Harry Eagle, is commonly used for the culture of mammalian eukaryotic cells. Supplemented with Fetal Bovine Serum, BME medium allows the proliferation of cell lines (Hela, L-Cells) and primary cells (fibroblasts).
This formulation, with Earles salts, does not contain L-Glutamine.
