Initially developed to study the hormonal requirements of cells in culture, DMEM-Ham’s F12 is used as a basic medium for the culture of many mammalian cells (MDCK, fibroblasts, endothelial cells). The DMEM-Ham’s F12 is a 1:1 mix of DMEM and Ham’s F12 medium.
Its formulation is L-Glutamine free and contains Hepes (25 mM).
