Ham’s F10 medium was originally developed for the clonal growth of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells, lung cells, and mouse L-cells. It is a preferred medium for supporting the growth of human diploid cells, white blood cells for chromosomal analysis, and primary explants of rat, rabbit, and chicken tissues.
Since Ham’s F10 medium does not contain protein and growth factors, it is recommended to supplement with serum depending on the cell type and application.
This formulation contains L-Glutamine and 25 mM Hepes.
