Ham’s F10 medium was originally developed for the clonal growth of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells, mouse lung cells, and L cells. Ham’s F10 is an optimal medium for supporting the growth of human diploid cells, white blood cells for chromosome analysis, and primary tissue explants from rats, rabbits, and chickens.
Since it does not contain proteins or growth factors, adding serum is recommended depending on the cell type and application.
Its formulation does not include L-Glutamine.
