Ham’s F12 medium is the medium of choice for supporting the growth of cells of rodent origin, particularly rabbit and rat, and has proven to be an excellent cloning medium for the culture of myeloma and hybrid cells. Ham’s F12 medium is frequently used with dialyzed serum, hormones, selenium, and other supplements.
Since Ham’s F12 medium does not contain protein and growth factors, it is recommended to supplement with serum depending on the cell type and application.
This formulation contains L-Glutamine.
