Medium 199 was specifically designed for culturing non-transformed cells. It is widely utilized in virology, vaccine production, and for the in vitro culture of primary explants from mouse pancreatic epithelial tissue.
Formulated with Earle’s salts, Medium 199 excludes sodium bicarbonate but includes L-Glutamine.
Biosera recommends adding 10% fetal bovine serum to the medium.
