Sodium Bicarbonate, Cell Culture Tested

Sodium bicarbonate is used in cell culture applications where pH maintenance is critical. Cells can vary in their sensitivity to pH, leading to cytotoxicity from the medium. Adding sodium bicarbonate allows for more effective buffering of the culture medium.

We recommend testing different buffer concentrations to determine the most effective supplement for a particular cell type and individual culture conditions.
